Dr. Saeid Ghiasi
Associate Veterinarian

My journey towards becoming a veterinarian didn’t start when I went to the university. I was always curious about biology and animals, especially about pets and farm animals. I remember myself spending hours in my uncle’s farm watching cows and cattle when I was a child and I really enjoyed it. This is why I chose to continue my education in veterinary medicine.
I studied veterinary medicine in Iran and was working as a large and small animal clinician for almost ten years. I came to Canada in 2016, and wanted to continue my career as a vet again.
After working as a veterinary assistant in Montreal for almost three years, I had a chance to pass my board exams and restart my professional career in 2021. I am fluent in English, French and Persian.
I am really happy and proud to be joining Stone Church Animal Clinic. I am now part of a well-known veterinary hospital and working with nice, supportive, and a hard-working team. I always try to learn and improve my knowledge because I believe that a human’s knowledge never ends.

Dr. Nathan Schachtschneider
Associate Veterinarian

I fell in love with animals as a young child and they’ve taken a special place in my life and heart ever since. A variety of different pets have accompanied me over the years, and I currently have a Quaker parrot, Zazu, as my little animal friend.

My route to becoming a vet was slightly roundabout. I first obtained an engineering degree but felt pulled to pursue my original passion. My love for animals, desire to strengthen and protect the human-animal bond, and passion for the medical sciences ultimately led me to Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Since then, I’ve developed a special interest in surgery and take pride in skillfully using this avenue for the benefit of my patients. I’m also a proponent of healthy living and wish to encourage this lifestyle through my practice of veterinary medicine.

I look forward to joining the family at Stone Church and helping my future patients while supporting the special bond they share with their humans. It’s my goal for the client to feel that they’ve been heard, and collaboratively develop a plan that’s best for them and their animal family member.
